Shiro's Tummy-Safe Curd Rice
“The ultimate Indian home remedy for upset tummies or hot summer days.”
Ingredients
- 1 cup overcooked white rice (mushy)
- 1/2 cup fresh, plain curd (yogurt)
- A pinch of roasted pumpkin seeds (optional)
- 1/4 cup water for consistency
Health Notes
Verification
“Very gentle on the stomach. Probiotics in curd help with digestion. Shiro usually licks the bowl clean so fast we had to get him a slow feeder.”
Perfect For
All ages (Puppy to Senior)
Shiro's Method
Make sure the rice is completely cooled to room temperature.
In a bowl, mix the rice and curd until it's a nice, creamy mash.
Add water if it's too thick (especially for Golden Retrievers who gulp).
Serve in a slow feeder bowl to prevent fast eating.
Storage
Best served fresh. Can be refrigerated for 24 hours.
Serving Amount
1/2 cup for small dogs, 1-2 cups for large dogs
