Health Notes
Verification
“Pumpkin is a miracle ingredient for digestion, providing soluble fiber that helps with both loose stools and constipation. Curd provides natural probiotics, while ginger settles a rumbling belly. It's our go-to recovery bowl when Shiro has a minor monsoon stomach bug.”
Perfect For
All ages (Puppies 4+ months)
Shiro's Method
If using fresh pumpkin, peel, de-seed, boil, and mash it thoroughly until smooth. Let it cool completely.
In a bowl, mix the cooled pumpkin puree with fresh plain curd.
Add the ginger powder or freshly grated ginger. Ginger is excellent for reducing mild nausea and gut inflammation.
Whisk the mixture until creamy. You can stir in a small drop of honey if your dog is hesitant.
Feed directly as a meal topper, spread on a lick mat, or freeze in small molds for a cooling tummy-soothing treat.
Storage
Keep refrigerated and use within 2 days, or freeze for up to 2 weeks.
Serving Amount
2-3 tablespoons as a meal topper for large breeds
