Steamed Sweet Potato & Moringa Leaf Immunity Drops
“Nutrient-dense, golden-green baked training drops combining slow-roasted sweet potatoes with fresh Indian moringa leaf powder to support skin immunity and coat pigmentation.”
Ingredients
- 1 large orange sweet potato (roughly 250g, peeled and cut into chunks)
- 1 teaspoon certified organic shade-dried moringa oleifera leaf powder
- 1 pastured farm egg (including natural yolk lecithin for cellular repair)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats ground into a fine flour in a blender
- 1 tablespoon warm water (if dough feels too crumbly to roll)
Health Notes
Verification
“Moringa leaves are packed with plant protein, bioavailable iron, quercetin, and chlorogenic acid. Paired with beta-carotene from sweet potatoes, these drops fortify the skin barrier against opportunistic fungal spores during late-monsoon humidity swings.”
Perfect For
Puppies from 4 months, adult dogs, and active working dogs
Shiro's Method
Steam the sweet potato chunks for 15 minutes until completely tender when pierced with a fork.
Preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and line a flat baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mash the warm steamed sweet potato in a large mixing bowl until completely lump-free.
Whisk the egg in a small bowl, then pour into the mashed sweet potato along with the green moringa leaf powder.
Gradually incorporate the oat flour, kneading with clean hands until a soft, pliable, non-sticky dough forms.
Pinch off tiny portions and roll them into marble-sized balls (about the diameter of a chickpea for small dogs, or a cherry for large dogs). Press each down lightly with a fork.
Bake for 20 to 22 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden and the treats feel firm to the touch.
Turn off the oven, crack the door open slightly, and leave the treats inside for an additional 15 minutes to allow them to crisp up naturally as they cool.
Storage
Store in a breathable tin or glass jar at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 60 days.
Serving Amount
2 to 3 drops per day as a clean, guilt-free training reward for large breeds.
