Life with Shiro

The Muddy Paw Incident

How one rainy day in our apartment taught us the importance of a 5-minute cleanup protocol.

It happened in the lobby. Shiro, freshly drenched from a sudden Mumbai cloudburst, shook himself right in front of the elevator. The sound was like a heavy machine gun of muddy water hitting the marble walls.

We realized then that our 'we-ll dry him inside' plan was 5 minutes too late. Shiro's thick coat held enough water to flood our small hallway. This story is how we built our entry-door routine to keep our home (and our neighbors' lobby) clean during the rainy season. It's not just about the mud; it's about the 'rainy dog' smell that lingers in an unventilated apartment if you don't dry them right.

The Shiro Solution

What actually worked

  • A dedicated microfiber station and the '3-Towel' workflow (Paws, Belly, and the 'Shake' Splash).
