Frozen Buttermilk Probiotic Pops

Our dog-friendly version of the classic Indian 'Chaas' for those blazing 4 PM afternoons.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Thick, Fresh Curd
  • 1.5 cups Water
  • A tiny, tiny pinch of Roasted Cumin (Jeera) powder
  • A few small bits of boiled Carrot for 'treasure' in the middle

Health Notes

Verification

Buttermilk is so much lighter than plain milk. It's my favorite way to cool Shiro down without worrying about a heavy stomach in the heat.

Shiro's Method

1

Whisk the curd and water until it's a smooth, thin buttermilk consistency.

2

Stir in the pinch of roasted cumin. My vet once mentioned jeera is great for summer digestion, and Shiro loves the earthy scent.

3

Drop the carrot bits into your ice cube tray—Shiro calls these the 'prizes'.

4

Pour the chaas over them and pop them in the freezer.

5

Once solid, serve one pop as a crunchy, cooling snack after their evening walk.

Storage

Keep them in a sealed bag in the freezer so they don't pick up other food smells.

Serving Amount

1-2 cubes
