Shiro's Mango & Curd Frozen Swirls
“A delicious, 2-ingredient tropical treat combining ripe summer mangoes with gut-friendly fresh curd.”
Ingredients
- 1 cup ripe mango flesh (pureed, ensure no peel or seed!)
- 1 cup fresh, plain unsweetened curd (yogurt)
- A splash of coconut water (optional, to help blend)
Health Notes
Verification
“Mangoes are packed with Vitamin A, B6, and C, while curd provides excellent probiotics. Only use ripe mangoes as raw mangoes can cause tummy aches. Serve in moderation due to natural fruit sugars.”
Perfect For
All ages (6+ months for puppies)
Shiro's Method
Peel the ripe mango and extract the pulp, discarding the seed completely.
Blend the mango pulp until it forms a smooth, thick puree.
In a bowl, gently fold the mango puree into the fresh curd to create a beautiful yellow-and-white marbled swirl pattern.
Spoon the mixture into silicone paw or star molds.
Freeze for 4-6 hours until completely solid.
Serve one frozen swirl on a hot afternoon as a cooling, vitamin-rich treat.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Serving Amount
1 paw treat per day for large dogs, half for smaller dogs
